Kantech wireless mitigation efforts

Our bulk mailing last week in respect to Kantech announcement of their immediate cancelation of their wireless product line has been sent to our client base via news letters. Though we suspect the nature of bulk mailings these tend to get discarded as plain marketing efforts.
Our intent is to notify users of imminent inventory depletions which may leave facilities over time with limited supply of wireless fob credentials.
Our motive was/is to keep our customers informed and keep their security measures current and maintainable and allow for growth.
These wireless fobs are primarily used in parking facilities or gate controls that integrate with an Access Control platform.

Ashton Security Inc. made the decision to source as much of the remaining North American stock on both the P82WLS-tag and the P82WLS and remaining replacement cases.
The remaining stock on the P82WLS-Tag is in the double digits and soon to be depleted.
We did however source a limited amount of the P82WLS, these do not have the embed chip for conventional door access.
Our sourcing efforts and aggressive pricing models have necessitated an immediate price adjustment to allow clients and customers to replace and replenish defective units. At this time we are unaware if Kantech will honor warranties on these as no stock remains and no migration paths have been identified.
Tariffs news, yes the cost of cards, credentials and hardware is imminently set to increase. We have brought in inventory to help buffer these anticipated price hikes.
